THE BLOOD THAT SPEAKS – 2006

(Excerpts from "Deep calls to Deep")
By Doug Fortune

000"...the voice of thy brother's BLOOD CRIETH unto Me from the ground." (Genesis 4:10)

000"But ye are come... to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the BLOOD of sprinkling, that SPEAKETH better things than that of Abel." (Hebrews 12:22, 24)

000Everything is 'speaking'...
000As we have discussed earlier, we humans are only able to visually perceive 3 percent of the entire light wave spectrum. Of the other 97 percent, part of it is electromagnetic light, a small portion of which are wavelengths called radio waves which are perceptible to the human ear. However, were you to graph all the radio wave frequencies classified as sound on a chart three feet wide, the human ear only perceives 3/4 of an inch of the chart. It is also important to note that with molecular activity, everything in the world is 'vibrating' or sending out frequencies of some sort. Light waves that vibrate about half a million billion times a second are perceived as the color yellow. The velvety sound of a cello are really sound vibrations with a frequency at a rate of a hundred times a second. A chain of discoveries initiated by Albert Einstein led to the realization that even subatomic "particles" were in fact waves. It is vibrations and wave frequencies that are fundamental, and the formation of matter is just one of the things that waves can do.

000And what is frequency? Sound is frequency. Light is frequency. Aroma is frequency. Emotion is frequency. Vibration is frequency. Music is frequency. Brain waves are frequency. Nerve impulses are frequency. In the natural, everything, at its most common denominator, is frequency. Frequency is everything and everything is frequency. When God SPOKE, "Light, BE!" that put everything into place. For He is "the King of kings, and Lord of Lords... dwelling in the LIGHT which no man can approach unto." (1 Timothy 6:15-16) Light is energy and we exist in a universe that consists entirely of energy. Einstein proved this. Frequency defines it. Each sensory organ in the human body collects information as frequency input and changes that input into biochemical impulses which it sends to the brain. The brain in turn digitizes the information and redistributes it to systems and functions of the body so that the body can maintain homeostasis.

000When these verses above refer to blood that 'speaks' or 'cries', certainly there is the figurative spiritual understanding of the wording in the text, but also there is a literal application that perhaps we have missed. Yes, the blood is literally 'speaking', vibrating, sending out frequencies. Keep in mind that this is how God created everything, He sent out a frequency by SPEAKING "Light, BE!" and as He continued to speak, we know that the FORMATION of matter was the result. This is really basic physics, even if we cannot grasp the spiritual truth of speaking the creative Word.

000Let us also consider the phenomenon of resonance, which is what allows an opera singer to break a wine glass simply with the voice. In order to break a wineglass by singing, an opera singer must first tap the glass to find its natural frequency of vibration, and then sing the same note (frequency) back. This joining of the natural frequency of the glass and the frequency of the voice causes an increase in the amplitude (how big the vibrations are) of the vibrations, that can result in a vibrational impact that shatters the glass. There are even cases recorded where the phenomenon of resonance has caused bridges and freeways to collapse because the frequency of vibration of the soil or the wind was too close to the natural vibration of the structure. (Tacoma Narrows Bridge in 1940, Nimitz Freeway in 1989)

000This is similar to the 'principle of superposition' we discussed earlier; where two waves coincide, they add together, forming a larger wave. So it is with resonance, the joining of the frequencies increases the amplitude of the frequency. So here we can see without question that resonance (the joining of the frequencies) can have a major impact in the natural sense, but I also believe this is true in the spiritual sense. Now then, if indeed the blood we read of IS 'speaking', and there is a direct result of that 'speaking' that manifests in the natural realm, then my question is this: "What IS it speaking into manifestation, and what cry of blood are WE resonating, joining our voice with?"

000First, let us examine what the blood of Abel seems to be 'speaking', keeping in mind that Abel was really the first person who was martyred for his relationship with God. I realize that is perhaps a foreign thought to many, but he really WAS martyred for his relationship with God. Perhaps this is pure conjecture on my part, but I believe that the cry of Abel's blood is a cry of JUSTICE, which in essence is certainly not bad, because our God IS a God of justice; "He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He." (Deut. 32:4)

000However, the blood of Christ cries out with a different sense of justice than WE do. Again, the question that arises in my mind is "What are WE crying? What cry of blood are we resonating, joining our voice with?" Let us keep in mind that there is a direct result of that 'cry' that manifests in the natural realm, as we join our voices. If you look at what lines the shelves of Christian bookstores or watch Christian television, for the most part you will find voices crying out for God to avenge all of the ills of the world. We angrily cry out against the liberals, the humanists, the atheists, the homosexuals, etc., that are trying to destroy the moral fabric of society. We organize our protests, boycotts, and picket lines and pray for God to avenge us. We have decreed that things are going from bad to worse, and some of us have even informed God that if He doesn't bring judgment upon the United States, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorra. We join our voice with the voice of the blood of Abel... and then wonder why things are going awry in the world.

000According to Genesis 4:10, the blood of Abel cries from the 'ground', adamah in Hebrew, the vantage point of the earthy Adamic nature, and we are reaping the result because we have joined our voice, we are resonating the earthy vantage point. However, there is other blood that speaks from the vantage point of heaven; "Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh BETTER things than that of Abel... Him that speaketh from heaven..." (Hebrews 12:24-25) And just what is the Voice from heaven speaking?... "Then said Jesus, Father, FORGIVE THEM; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) Remember, He is speaking of the people who are in the process of crucifying Him! So what does He mean by saying "They know not what they do."? They certainly KNEW the process of crucifying someone, as they had done it many times, but they didn't understand the full implication of what they were doing. Even so, the sinner in the world certainly KNOWS the process of sin, they don't understand the full implication of what they are doing. Perhaps the Voice from heaven is saying to us, "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." (John 20:23) Could it be that we have decreed the sins of the world are to be retained, and therefore the world in which we live is reaping the wages thereof?

000There is another aspect that we must consider also; "For until the law, sin was in the world: but sin is NOT IMPUTED when there is no law." (Romans 5:13) Did you catch that?... sin is NOT IMPUTED when there is no law! Now you may be thinking that only applies to those people who were alive before the giving of the law, and since the time of Moses all have been under the law, because John 1:17 says, "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." However, we must consider that Jesus fulfilled every demand of that very law; "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to FULFILL." (Matthew 5:17) And further, "For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a CHANGE also OF THE LAW." (Hebrews 7:12) Yes, the law has changed! Now then, did the law change only for some men, or for all men? "Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon ALL MEN unto justification of life." (Romans 5:18) Yes, the law changed for ALL men.

000Also consider this; "But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ unto ALL and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference." (Romans 3:21-22), or as the Amplified Bible says, "But now the righteousness of God has been revealed INDEPENDENTLY and altogether APART from law..." There you have it, the righteousness of God is shown (manifested) totally independent from the law, and it is based upon the faith OF Jesus Christ, (notice it doesn't say faith IN Jesus) it is HIS faith... and His faith extends "unto ALL and upon all them that believe: for there is NO DIFFERENCE." Did you catch that?... His faith extends to ALL, AND them that believe, for there is NO DIFFERENCE! The Literal Bible in Romans 3:22 reads, "...to all and upon all those believing..." We have no right to judge and condemn a sinner, for when we do we are at odds with the faith of Jesus Christ.

000You see, the sinner is not condemned because they have transgressed the law, for the law has changed. "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19) They are condemned because they love the darkness rather than the Light. "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law." (Romans 2:12) It is not transgression of the law that causes men to perish, but rather, death is the result of sin... death is the fruit, of which sin is the seed.

000Then we must consider that, "For if, WHEN WE WERE ENEMIES, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." (Romans 5:10) Notice when we were reconciled... WHEN WE WERE ENEMIES. And what has God called US to do?... "and hath given to US the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the WORLD unto Himself, NOT IMPUTING their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto US the word of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18-19) Shall we join our voice, resonating with blood that cries from the 'ground', the vantage point of the earthy Adamic nature, or blood that speaks from the vantage point of heaven, the vantage point of the finished work of Christ... blood that calls for earthly justice, or blood that covers? Shall we be involved in imputing sin where God does NOT impute sin?

000We can read on in 2 Corinthians 5:14 &16, "For the LOVE of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead... Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the FLESH..." I have often said that it takes no spiritual discernment to see the sin of another and sit in judgment of them. We are to know NO man after the FLESH, proclaiming them unclean, but rather, we are to discern and call forth the deposit of Christ within them. We are to pronounce the legal judgment that their sin is remitted (John 20:23), and that they were reconciled to God by the death of his Son! (Romans 5:10)

000Consider what God says to Peter, "And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common." (Acts 10:13-15) Is this portion of Scripture simply talking about food?... obviously not, for just a few verses down Peter is speaking to those very people he had considered unclean, "And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should NOT call ANY MAN common or unclean. (Acts 10:28)

000Obviously the sin of a sinner (remember, sinners are simply acting according to their nature) does not provide a stumbling block for the Lord; why then, is it such a problem for us? Jesus also recognized this religious spirit operating in the disciples; "...and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for Him. And they did NOT receive Him... And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But He turned, and REBUKED them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is NOT come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." (Luke 9:52-56) Mind you, these are people that the Scripture says did NOT receive Him! Did Jesus condemn them?... certainly not.

000"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.... he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:17-19) They condemn themselves by loving the darkness. When we speak a word of sin and guilt and condemnation, we only strengthen the very darkness that has a stronghold upon them... remember the phenomenon of resonance? Just like in Genesis 1:4, we are to separate darkness from Light, by speaking LIGHT into the lives of those who are "void and without form".

000Ask yourself this simple question; Has the traditional Christian message of sin and guilt and condemnation really been effective in advancing the Kingdom of God in the earth? I don't think you have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Does that message even work in our own lives?... It may keep us from misbehaving too badly for fear we'll suffer retribution, but it certainly does not empower us to manifest the nature of Christ.

000Our words, our thoughts and our lives are sending out frequencies... is our spirituality based upon fear (I'm not speaking of the reverential fear of the Lord), feeding upon a diet of the message of sin and guilt and condemnation? If so, then we are sending out frequencies, resonating with the blood of Abel, the vantage point of the earthy Adamic nature. Let us join our voice, resonating with the blood of Christ which speaks better things, such as, "Woman, where are thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?... Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." (John 8:10-11).
